When Indian immigrant parents in Olympia, Washington discovered their 10-year-old daughter had been quietly targeted by a transgender-groomer acting as a public-school teacher, they decided not to fight the system. Instead, to protect their daughter, they returned to a system they knew back in their home country of India. They fled the United States for freedom.

Their daughter had been encouraged by her teacher at school to go through a gender transition. Her parents were told that if they didn’t unquestioningly affirm this transition, they would pose a danger to her. She could then be legally removed from their custody.
